If you're getting the rapid-fire CLICK-CLICK-CLICK! when you go around corners, it's a CV Joint.
The CV joints can handle great stress, but if the boot gets a crack and dirt and water get in there, it's toast inside of 6 months. You can keep driving 'em for thousands of miles...if you're a gambler. If it's making noise when you're going straight, your number's almost up.
I'm cheap, lazy and don't have a lot of options. Instead of trying to replace the joint or even the boot, I just shell out $59 for a whole axle half-shaft at Autozone...and you get a lifetime warranty with that, if you're responsible to save a receipt.

PS-That's what the pouch on the back of the passenger's seat is for!

Yeah, you're right, Chopstick.
The only thing I had even remotely like that chain sound was a ringing sound caused by my rear drum when the wheel wasn't bolted on properly due to some rims that were never meant to be on a Honda.
Beats me!

PS-I figure it's one of the difficulties of trying to describe a sound using written words.
