Is a high compression motor good for NOS?

Not really, it is a quick way to blow a motor. If you want to run 10:1 on an engine using forced induction you need very good engine management and very good tuning.

yeah youll get blow by with a high compression and nitrous, or youd have to run a pretty small shot with a 10:1

it seems that high compresion is not as dangerous for nitrous as turbos lets say but imo its still important since the higher the compresion the more chances for detonation and nitrous adds to that danger.


just as a general advice 91(regular) octane + high compresion + FI = good environement for detonation.
