got my longblock, now what?

well i just got my D16y longblock for my 88 dx and i'm planing on using the same tranny for now but now i have to start adding on the other parts. what can i use off the dx motor and what do i have to track down. i know i need intake/ exhaust manifold, distributor, ecu, but i'm not sure what else. this is my first run with a honda so i'm not to sure what i'm getting into but i'm sure i'll figure it out with a little help. oh yeah, what are going to be the trickiest parts of this operation? it would be nice to have a heads up. thanx,

on board diagnostics... as cars get newer... they get newer versions of OBD... i believe they are somewhere at OBD 5? it has to do with emissions and whatnot

no, i mean longblock. i have a block and the head of a d16z6. and then i have the stock motor which is the d15 i believe. dx tranny and such that i just yoinked out. so i want to know if i can still use the dx tranny on the d16 at least for a while and if there are any other parts i can use from the d15 on the d16. i know i have to get a throttle body, intake/exhaust manifolds, ecu ,& distibutor, but what other little goodies do i need to obtain to make this a complete and running motor. oh yea how do i find out what obd i am? and howdo i know which to change to?
