Do tamiya TS-31( bright orange) and TS-47 chrome yellow sprays need a base coat?
Are they transperrent or solid colors?

thanks

They are both pretty solid but not opaque, safer to use white primer underneath.

You should always use a white primer or basecoat under light colors like yellow, red, orange, light blue, turquoise, aqua or white. The colors will always be brighter and more vivid. Even red plastic should be painted white before painting red. Never expect these colors to cover a darker color and look nice.
