Talking Things are looking up!

Welll, so..
1. I am getting married on Tuesday.
2. I just got Employee of the Month with a $200 bonus.
3. On May 30 I close on my house which I will OWN, it has a backyard, and is a detached condo with covered parking and I can afford it. It will be nice to build equity and have pets if I want and paint it if I want and put in bamboo floors if I want.
4. I just made my 13th car payment on a 48 month loan, and the website said I only have 23 months left. I only paid about $600-700 extra this last year, but it saved me $2800.
5. I got my wisdom teeth out and Ins. paid 80% and it didn't hurt that bad and I got lots of Vicuprofen. :bonghitte

Hope everything is kicking arse for everybody else, like it is for me...of course everything was hell back in Feb. so I think I deserve it.

Oh, and looky what I found the other day:

'Grats Em!!

If you don't post all your wedding pics, you're a dead woman.

Things aren't going so crash hot for teh Oz either:

-Broke my finger today
-Hating my degree, need to change, heaps of work this weekend

On the upside
-Kicked some serious ass in 36 games of pool today. Something like 33 games won.
-Feeling strong and fit from 3x weekly gym visits
-Ski season is only 35 days away!

Em - I was gonna send you a PM today, but seriously hard to type w/ left hand. Remind me in a few days

And that one's the saddest of all.

As for the wedding pics, seeing as the groom and I are the only ones with any camera skills, we're screwed. Gonna get more taken after the wedding.

BTW, I missed everyone whilst the server was down, went through teh withdrawals big time.

Great on all the good news Boingo, congrats on the wedding

My life is its own little roller coaster right now....some great ups, some big downs....some are related to each other.

Up: Wife got position to do Masters in Nutrition at top notch University
Related Down: It is 3 hours away so it means new home, job and all the other stuff

Down: Future business partner backed out on me (said his wife said 'No')
Up: (I guess) Financial stability and certainty for a bit longer

Up: One of my model cars won a competition
Down: One of my other model cars is close to getting a lesson on force and velocity

But besides that, my toast isn't burnt, it's not that time of the month and I have a lot of other good things going on.....

One big up: if I still lived in South Africa I would still be some poor white kid struggling to get by instead of living happily with my wife

Way to go Boingo! Congratulations!

As for me, things are okay... The g/f FINALLY got herself a job in her field of study (Medical Administrative Specialist) after more than a year of being unemployed. So, getting some extra money into the relationship, and now I've got 8+ hours of free-time to myself. Pure bliss.

I'm still looking for a job though... well, not really looking, but I should be.

Oh, and as for that web-development link that you posted, that is funny as hell! HAHAHAHAH. I hope that Compugasm guy realizes how wrong he was.

Whoooohooooo glad to hear things are going good for ya. Isn't home ownership awesome????? So when do you get to move in? My deal on my house is done and over with. I also got all my credit card crap and another loan paid off. And I already picked up the check for my mom from the title company to pay her for my house

Other stuff going on with me:

UPSIDE:

-12 days of school left
-mom is getting remarried and her new husband will be an awesome guy...he never had children of his own, so he looks at me and my brother like we were his
-Marvin is running like a peach, and I got my good gas mileage back
-my supervisor is going on vacation soon and she is paying me a few bucks to go to her house to water some plants and take in mail. then on the day she comes home I pick up her dogs to bring them home (another coworker will take care of them)
-supervisor being gone = I can steal her parking spot, i currently park between a pick up and a Suburban
-my design class has gone very well, can't wait to get into the 3rd class in the fall

DOWNSIDE:

-need to fix my watersoftener...laundry room flooded the other day
-split a tire, so Marvin has to sport a ghetto steelie and 3 wheels
-I feel like crap because my sleep, eat, gym schedule is so out of whack right now
-mommy, what's sleep??
