Post loss of power and knocking goinbg up hill but when go down hill things are fine

needing to know what could be the problem when i go up hill i loose power and oil gauge drops and i get some knocking from the engine. but when i go down hill things go back to normal

Have you checked for vacuum leaks? does it happen if you accelerate quickly from a stop?

crappy fuel.....water in fuel......or use a couple bottles of good fuel injector cleaner.....

Had a similar problem on an old truck and noticed it burnt a buttload of oil and it was too low.

That is what i was thinking, maybe it is low on oil and when going up hill there is no oil for the sump to get at. Just a thought......

no the only time this happens is when i go up hill i can gun it when i am iaround townm and things are fine.

How many miles on the engine? When was the last time the fuel filter was changed?

Put a bottle of injector cleaner through it, like silveradoking said. If that don't work, try changing the fuel filter, check the air filter, etc.
