Exclamation I need some exhaust buying tips!

I'm new at this fourm... Well anyways I'm looking to get a new muffler for my 1997 Subaru Impreza. I don't have a terrible lot of $$ to spend so I would like to keep the total price under 100. If anyone has any tips on what to look for or anything it would be appreciated, thnx

If you can conjure up some money, get Skunk 2.
flowmaster is good, and so is HKS

those are the top 3 Skunk 2, HKS, then Flowmaster

they all sound good and perform well.

Flowmaster??? They're flow rate is pretty sucky compared to many other competing brands.

For cheapness, go to your local muffler shop and just get a Magnaflo or a Dynomax muffler welded on for ya.. Should run just about 100 bones.

.

A $100 bucks I don't think you're going to get much with that. Whats the rush why not save up some more money? Eventually if you get a shop to customize an exhaust for you, 2.5 inch pipe from cat or whatever you want to do, make sure you tell them you want your original piping and muffler. You can get some money for your stock parts.

yea i agree too, either save up 500 for a catback or get a custom bent xhaust locally for cheap.
