Difference in the clutches from 88-89-90-91

Okay I know that the trannys are the same from the 90-91. The 88 and 89 are different from all the others Will the clutches and pressure plates work the same in all of them or is there a major difference. Also if I did a swap with a 88 motor and stuck a 90 tranny on it which clutch should I use?

88 clutch had 21 splines, 89-91 had 20 splines. I think 90-91 had bigger clutches. I tried a 89 pressure plate on my 88 tranny flywheel and it worked fine. So I think all the flywheels are the same but 90-91 had a bigger clutch.

splines are indeed different from 88 and 89-91
the clutch disk is also larger on the 90-91 (210mm vs. 200mm)

other than that... not much

I just need to know if the pressure plate I have (for an 88 I think) will work in my 91 tranny if I get a 90 clutch.
