Question About 88/89-90/91 Civic To Crx Dash Conversion
Ok I Am Going To Be Putting 89 Crx Dash Into My 90 4 Door Civic And Am Wondering If A Can Just Plug In My 89 Cluster Into My 90 Wiring And It Will Work. And Do I Need To Take Out The Under Frame Of The Crx Dash To Put The Crx Dash Into My Civic. I Thought It Would Just Bolt Up Fine.

i believe the wiring is different from 88-89 and 90-91. not sure though.
anyone else know?

They are different, I couldnt tell you the differences pin for pin, but they are.

Maybe its reversed. Been awhile since I toyed with a ED. Maybe I have the plugs wrong all together. What it comes down to is getting a wiring schematic of each one, and then matching them up the correct way.

why not swap the dash and leave the cluster the same? even then, isn't the design completely different on the four doors?

from 88-89 and 90-91 the clusters change shape and it would look goofy in the 89 crx dash plus i have done stuff like this before and dont want to end up with no insriments working on my cluster. and i know for a fact that they both have 2 plugs. the 90-91 crx cluster has a little blue plug that doesent matter cuz everything worked on my cluster whn intalled.
