Smile Peugeot 905 EV1 First Look

Hi everyone,

today the kits I ordered some days ago at my favourite shop arrived. A Tamiya Nissan R89 C and a Peugeot 905 EV 1 from Heller, a kit Iīve never seen before.
Why Heller? Because there is no other choice in 1/24 for this famous Group C Car. The Box is as big as Tamiyas Enzo, the box-art looks very cool - canīt wait to start with this kit. First look inside: Well itīs not Tamiya - there are less details, but thereīs a completly detailed V10 engine with gearbox, exhaust-pipes and everything else you need to build a cool lookinīracecar. The decals allow to build two different Versions - Nr 5 Phillip Alliot/Mauro Baldi or Nr 6 Yannick Dalmas / Keke Rosberg.

Think I will start with this kit next week (I have holidays :bandit: ),
will post more then.

Greetings, Sascha :frog:

Talking

QUICK!

Do not pass GO!, do not collect $200.00, just hurl it into the deepest pit you can find! I've got one and I'm pretty sure the guy who designed it, NEVER, ever, EVER built it.

Eventually I'm going to finish the piece of crap, just to say I climbed modeling's answer to Everest...;-)>

Did I mention it was a really, REALLY bad kit?

Bill

Best of luck building the Heller 905 - you'll need it! As said above it is not the greatest engineered kit. However providing you got lucky and the decals are printed straight then with a bit of work it should build up to a spectacular model of an importaint car.

I tried for a long time to get some aftermarket decals for it, as the ones in my kit are useless. In the end i bought one of the very expensive Profil24 resin 905's. The decals in that are awesome, but some of the resin bits are warped, but the Heller kit parts can be substituted. Added advantage is that the P24 kit is a Le Mans winner.

A bad kit indeed, but it can be built. If I did it again I'd glue the rear deck shut. The engine and suspension is pretty bad. Here is a pic of mine. I also replaced the tires.

I think I go buy a Heller 905. Is the Profil 24 Peugeot 905 still in production? Thanks.
