Peugeot 905 (w/ Pattos Decals)

Another of my recent builds: The Peugeot 905 winner of the '92 LeMans race.
Build mostly OOB with some small scratchbuild details and custom decals from Patto's. Base is the 1/24th Heller kit. I also added PE seat belts. Sorry for the poor pictures....

Overall view

CF'd rear wing

Your comments, please ;-)

Nice build of a trickey kit. One of the finest looking of the Group C cars...

Re: Peugeot 905 (w/ Pattos Decals)

Nice conversion of a difficult fitting kit! Overall result is very good! The opening "doors" (should have said windows...) are a real ++++ . Nice CF too!!
Makes me think about giving this kit a try one day, if I find it...
If you have other unusual subjects like this to show, feel free to share! That's a pleasure!

Great looking build. Loving seeing the last generation of GTP/Group C cars with their gigantic wings and wildly curved bodies.

I even tried to modify the poorly molded engine bay... But that costs me many months and caused demotivation... I finally gave up after some wiring already done. I guess it's not worth showing.

Supercool car !
Love what you done to it, and shame that the pics are mediocre, I think with better pics itwould show through better, like the CF and other added details.

Ah well

Re: Peugeot 905 (w/ Pattos Decals)

if only the decals weren't so washed out that would look mint.

love the opening doors/windows

Yes, I know...
It has some flaws that I am aware of. The headlight covers are scratchbuild and the right one is a bit melted by the wrong glue... The left of was attached using the right glue, but has visible glue marks.
And so on...
The decals were another try, next time I will order "Super Quality" decals and not standard one from Patto's...

But I'm still learning...

Nice built!
I'm currently at the same kit. I hope, mine turns out somewhat as good as yours! I'm also trying to detail the engine bay with some wiring and putting in some shocks absorbers. Hopefully, it'll work.
But it's mostly a nightmare... Heller poor quality!

All the best, Marc

Forget about the engine bay!

Look at this in-progress pics:

I added scratch-build rear shockers, too. But the resulting engine bay is not good enough for a public showing...

More pics by mail, if you want...
