You came in here with a point you wanted to make about cheap jap cars. Well your not getting anywhere with us bud, so find someone else to bother. You even had the balls to ruin our thread. This wasn't a general rice vs. muscle, it was a specific 3000GT vs 5.0 Notch, so why say we aren't comparing properly? It isn't our fault that the lame Mitsubishi would get slammed by a 5.0.
4WS was a blast and if you knew how to use it you can take some crazy ass turns
AWD same EVIL launchs so you can be boosting with your launch get out of the hole quicker. retractable hard top well come on thats just pimp.
A VR-4 *GTO in japan* was quite the kick ass car. the base model 3kgts were nothing cool at all.
I agree 15K in to escort is not the brightest thing but i've heard worse.
cheap jap cars hell if a vr-4 is so cheap buy me one!

And i must say the newer stangs are not to shabby on the track more then enough to beat a lil escort.

Re: 5.0 Vs. 3000gt

zx2srdotnet, In the end, what car is best, is all just a matter of personal opinion, and the only person you really have to please is yourself. If you like escorts or 3000 gt's or whatever, then by all means, feel free to get one and enjoy it. Having said that, don't come to a Mustang forum, where obviously most people there prefer Mustangs, talk shit about them, and expect to not get flamed. It then becomes a matter of respect. I could give you a hundred and one reasons why I like my car, but the one that matters most is that fact that I do like it. For me, it's the right car. Just like the escort is the right car for you. All the technical data, price comparisons, and bench racing specs in the world isn't going to change my mind.

Re: 5.0 Vs. 3000gt

Mustangman, i never said the VR-4 was better then a 5.0, i simply said that a stock VR-4 was faster then a 5.0, and then they all flamed me for saying it. I cant help it if people like to avoid facts.

Re: Re: Re: 5.0 Vs. 3000gt

Well it seems to me that all this started right about here. Now Im not a big fan of "this vs that" questions in the first place, because there usually too many variables to account for to give an accurate answer. The cars condition, the driver's ability, hell even the weather. But it looks like you said that just to start an argument, because it was not the question that was asked to begin with. the original question was "stock 1991 5.0 Notch VS. V6 3000GT N/A with small mods (ie: exhaust) street race".

Then you went on to say things like:

"you sir are an ignorant fool"

"at teh end of the day your "5.0 with headers an basic bolt ons" is still a 10 yr old car"

"or the people that pay like 40k for a slow ass ugly thunderbird are even more stupid"

So by now I'm thinking the only reason you posted anything, was to start a fight. And apparently ,you got one. This is the Mustang forum, and we are all Mustang enthusiasts. Did you really expect anything less?
