In that case, I can easily see how you wouldn't want to drive the same car as one of your parents. Those Nissan coupes are then good ideas... and what is the damned status of the release of the Mitsubishi Evo?!?!?! :sun:

"2k4 Grand Prix GTP: 260 HP, 280 ft-lbs torque

Stratus R/T (coupe): 200 HP V6 with 5 speed tranny. Kinda the unexpected runner."

WTF? Only car worth buying from GM is Camaro/Firebird! And the Stratus is a 3g Eclipse. Slow! Go Ws6! I've tried to buy one twice but I get screwed out of them. One time the guy sold it an hour before I got there cus a Dady bought it for his girl and payed 2k more than I would cus she wanted it. The other I was jsut to late to reply to the add. Go ws6

Yea, I'm definitely loving the G35 Coupe. Nissan 350Z is also nice...I was thinking about the Evo, but I personally don't think they look all that great. Definitely nice, just not a car I get very excited about seing. Hmm...Any other ideas people? Keep in mind that I'd like a car with some serious potential to go quick

Just so you know, the intercooler on the Peon (neon) SRT is visibly larger than the EVO intercooler. :o I was kinda disappointed.

I'd say "Go Nissan or Infiniti" not so much b/c of the fact that I'm biased, but even former AFer "Ric" loves the new G35 coupe and 350z. He's right... Nissan is ahead of its time with those two.

If you aren't partial to domestics, then I'd also tell you to take a look at a VDub Golf 1.8T. I can assure that it will MOVE. Audi would be fun, too.

IMHO, MOST of GM rather sucks. Mopar is even more of a joke, but I was trying to make the best of the Domestics that I have brochures on.

why not an SLK or a C-Class if you like Mercedes ? It's better (except for the performances) than a Camaro. Did you think to Autodelta (Alfa Romeo's sold in North America), very exclusive an exciting drinving.

Agreed on that point, though I would put Mopar products generally ahead of GMs. The thing about GM is that they make a lot of mediocre vehicles, and then go and produce a few "diamond in the rough" outstanding vehicles like the Z06.

Without getting into a major debate, anything with a variation of the LS1 V8 underhood has a good thing going for it, no matter how much you don't care for the body style, ergonomics, or overall build quality. And in terms of price for performance, I'd take one over anything produced by VW/Audi.

Disagree, most of them serve the purpose they're made to serve just fine. All of you can say that they break down so often and such, but I can most assuredly tell you that is NOT true. Maybe not the most bulletproof vehicles in the world, but they'll certainly get the job done with minimal problems if you just take care of them.

I was thinking about the Mercedes Benz C230 Coupe actually. It's a supercharged I4 producing 200hp. There is a pulley kit out to bring it to 230hp, and a supercharger swap being released soon that is estimated to push 260hp. That would be FUN. And plus it's a Mercedes so that's a great thing But then I was thinking again about already having one in the family. Not a C230 exactly, but my parents have TWO Mercedes' already So I'm not sure, but that's another one I was looking in to, and still am.

100% TRUE. Anything with an LS1 is going to be a gem, wonderful motor.

There are so many great cars coming out in the next two years... just wait and see what you like the most

A little while ago, I was looking at a WRX, and saw that it's engine is mounted longitudinally, so now it gets my thumbs up

Maybe he means like late-eighties Porsche. I saw an 87ish 911 Carrera in Austin once for 17 grand. Not too bad.
But anyways, Self say he wanted something newer, so that's out.
I still stand behind my position in saying he should go with the WS6. Can't beat the fear that shivers the spine of someone when they see those nostrils comin' up in the rear-view mirror.
