Getting New Car

Ok, here are my circumstances...

I want a nice car [preferably a Camero, Integra or Mustang], but has some meat on stock. Cause once I blow my load on the new car, I can't get any NOS or superchargers for about 6 months to a year!

Now I am really leaning on teh Mustang GT Convertable or Coupe. But I hear bad things about the convertable; things like it doesn't stay together at higher free-way speeds or faster, well that's only 65mph!! I meed something sturdy as well, real sturdy.

Now I know you will all say that the GT is the only way to go, right? Well, I think so for a Stang, since a GT is ONLY 225HP??? Is this a fact? I mean the damn Integra's and Camero SS's have roughly 320 stock! Why is it sooooo low?

Well help me out here...please...please!

???

Since when do Integra's have 320 hp stock??? According to Motor Trend, the new Integra Type R's only have 195. How much money can you spend and what years are you looking at?

I guess I could be biased, but why not get an '02 Z28 ?
It's the last year of production, so it will be worth more.
They're FASTER.
You can get T-Tops and not have to worry about Convertible issues, yet you still have the open air feeling...

Z28

I'm going to have to agree with Blackbird on this one. The new Camaro will be worth more and they have more horsepower per dollar. If I were you, I'd save my money for a little while longer and buy a Cobra or SS. The 2003 Cobra (390 hp) will beat an SS (which will have a better resale value). It's all a matter of which one you think looks better, is more reliable, etc. By the way, the Mustang GT has 260 hp. Oh yeah, one last thing, PLEASE don't get the Integra, stick with something with a V8.

If I was you, I would go with a S2000.

The last Camero will not increase in value. It might hold its value fairly well though, but so do Hondas. If I had that kind of cash, my money is a S2000. Go read www.nsxfiles.com he has been racing ferraris, NSX's, and some other cars and nothing but good things to saya about the S2000.

S2000

While the S2000 is a good car, I wouldn't get one. I've driven one and it's torque in the lower rpms is pretty bad. It's the kind of car that you have to drive in the higher rpms to use the cars full potential (it's torque curve starts later than that of say a Camaro or Mustang but thats to be expected with only 4 cylinders). On the upside, it gets better gas mileage.

I agree with 5.0VIPERMAN that the S2000 is lean on low end torque, but that is not its strong point. High revs, and corners. Its more of a driving machine.

As for you looking at Factory HP ratings, thats a load of crap. Drive the cars, then tell by the seat of your pants.

Ok guys,

Talk me into which you think I should go for. I have cash for either the 02 Z28 or the 02 GT right now. So let me know why you would pick one over the other?

I don't want biased opinons at all. Give me actual info [more than, " the Z28 will be worth more later on] because I plan on keeping the car for a while.

Also, I like cars that sound good, is the Z28 a V8? Does it sound as good as the Mustang?

Your asking for advice on a car that is 30k that you say you have the cash and you don't know a Z28 is a V8?

Ok, kid. Whats your job? Don't mean to sound like a dick, but something is not right with this post.
