Import vs. Domestic, Grow up!

I love imports and domestics both but i like imports more cause their just plain badass! The only thing that sux about having an import is that u get called a ricer just for putting rims or making your car look nice on an import. Just cause the car looks nice and is an import doesnt mean its slow as hell.

ok i dont down shift from 90 mph, i shift from 3rd to 4th. And i know that v 8's have more torque, i was just making a point that v-techs dont do that much! oh and fuck the skyline, i got a zo6!

I see what you're sayin. Yea, I'm 14. Buttt............ how many cars have you seen that can get 1000+ horsepower street legal? Yea, Skyline is one of them. Take a look at the Veilside Skyline. Now thats nice.

theres also only so much power u can get from a 2.0liter turbo engine. thats why all the really high horsepower imprezas use the 2.5 liter from the rs. companies like jun take a wrx and swap out the 2.0 for the 2.5. i see u chose to spend $6000 more to buy the motor that was inferior for higher hp applications. for the extra $6000 the 2.5 will rape the wrx. plus the 2.5 comes with painted side skirts

i wasnt saying the skyline is the best car ever, i was only saying why people want a skyline. personally i wouldnt pay $90000 (what motorex charges for a new r34) for one thats insane, but if youre a rich bastard with more money than u know what to do with and u like em why not? and youre right ive never ridden in one, and will prob never even see one, but thats okay, cuz while id love to ride in one, its not a big deal that i never will cuz theres so many other cars that can be made much faster for much cheaper, just like u said. my friends gf (whos father is a brain specialist) just bought a supra with a full multimedia system and 728hp to the rear wheels WITHOUT nitrous, which it has a 150shot. this car runs 10.3 in the 1/4mile WITHOUT the nitrous, who knows how fast it is with, but my point is how much did they pay? $64000, a hell of a lot of money but still $26000 short of the price of a BONE STOCK skyline.

If so then thats probably one of the big reasons we don't have skylines here. Well its just something i heard.

What engine is in a skyline, and if its not above 3.0l then im sorry to say there is no way in hell your going to produce more than 1000hp out of it, its almost physically impossible!

I am with bluevette here. I think some of you may have seen my little rant about the Skyline in the car comparo forum. I am shocked that I didn't get a good reaming for that, it was quite outspoken. Anyhow: I have almost had it up to here with the Skyline "hype" around here. They are not the greatest car to ever grace God's green earth.

its got a 2.6l twin turbocharged{if i remember correctly}.. and yes it is possible since its been done.. and the freaking R34 does not cost 90,000 dollars outside of america.. the only reason is becuase motorex.. they haver to modifiy the car to reach american standards and they claim that its a lot of money and bla bla bla.. anyway they sell it at 90000.. but outside of america its MUCH CHEAPER!!!!!!

2.6 liter V6 twin turbo. 280 horsepower stock but thats what Nissan says just to get under the I think 280??? horsepower limit in the Japan. Most people say it is actually making ATLEAST 300 horsepower from the Nissan factories stock. Also, you tell me why it isn't possible to get 1000+ horsepower out of this engine.

it all depends who u are.. and there are soo many cars out there i cant even havea favorite.. but the skyline is up there wit MY favorites.. so u can like whatever u want

so you say it has been done before, im talking about 1000hp out of a 2.6l! let me do the math thats 385 hp/L, you show me the stats on a car that can do that and i will shut up, just because you heard some ricer talk about 1000 hp doesnt mean that it's true, im just going by physics! it doesnt add up! and i never said it wasnt impossible, i said its almost impossible with enough money anything can be done, but this is a little out there!

OK OK! I see what you saying. ummmmm......... I don't know how I can prove to you that there are 1000+ horsepower Skylines. And no, a ricer did not tell me or I didn't hear this on some forum. If you look in a couple import magazines, you will see that a company named Veilside has many powerful cars, Now in some of there ads, at the top half of the page, they have this white Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 and at the bottom, it says world's fastest blah blah blah blah car........... and then it says 1280 horsepower I THINK. somewhere around there though.
