Import vs. Domestic, Grow up!

Ok here it is plain and simple. Old performance cars are not better than todays cars, today's performance cars are not better than older muscle cars. Because after all shouldn't we be devoting our time that we spend bitching about who is better and spend it doing what we should be? Talking about cars. Because that is why we are all here right? Because we love cars, we love speed and we love power? Because after all a power fanatic wouldn't care what car it came from all they would car about is the fact that someone put in the time to take a stock car and turn it into something that burns rubber and makes a statement. So all arguements aside.

And remember it's not neccessarily what get's you there but how fast it can get there.

Live for the Need for Speed.

yeah, thats why i love it here honestly, coz ive been to QUITE a few boards, and all it had was imp vs. dom and TFATF flaming. It sucked. Why cant people respect cars as individuals, i mean, i dont flame Kiwis for being from New Zealand!!!!! (sorry NZers had to think of an example, you guys are great, i wanna stop by one day maybe when im out of school )

Anyway, to somehow give this post an ounce of value....i suggest that someone makes a board for trash talking......that we it can all be nice and organized for the lil punks, and none of the true AFers have to visit it, out of sight, out of mind!

Ahhhh ok yeah this what a 3 hour long techno mix does to someone

Thumbs up

biasedness towards this subject is just upsurd. this forum does a fine job of bringing in both perspectives. cars are cars. it'll always be that way.

Personaly I love them both (Import and Domestic) because they both have there own good and bad featurs. Imports are great on gas and Domestics are a little cheeper to build. So Polygon I totaly agree with you this is like comparing apples to oranges.

I only like IMPORTS!!!!!!!!!!! Imports all the way man. You know why? Becuase domestics are just a POS. No need to get into that. I mean seriuosly, wats up with the domestic people saying that gay as phrase "no replacement for displacement?" Fuck displacement, I got VTEC!

Nah, I'm jp.

i am definetely a fan of imports more, but domestics are cool too. I got a freind with a 84 Firebird, with a chevy small block 350 under the hood, the thing roars
But i am a bigger fan of the import scene.

Yeah, its just that the japanese had to go and kill off all the kick ass imports who knows, with the 350z and rx-8 we may start seein more and more bad ass imports comin in. All the new cars are either flat out ugly or too retro.........toyota matrix? wtf? pontiac vibe.....a lil toooo overstyled. rx8 and 350z seem too retro like theyre tryin to be euros or somethin, camaro and firechickens are dead, sentra spec v is a shame to nissan all around, the market has an identity crisis on both sides of the ocean! it sucks!

wow, that got really offtopic.....

anyway, i think im gonna change my name when i get my beast, firechickenz sound good? i dunno, im in the r&d stage....

oh and hanguk....YOU BETTER BE! hahaha, jk man

I'm just wondering but why is everyone after a skyline?!?!? Why get something so highly priced when there's S4s, 300ZXs, and Supra TTs here?!?!?!

Yea these NEW imports are a shame. As you stated what the heck were they thinking? The toyota matix does looks weird, plus all of gm's new compact cars. They gotta stick to being jap cars, and stop going euro on us fans. Not EVERYONE enjoys european style!
