I think that your right about the aromatic content being closer to 20%, my mistake, I was mistaken because the ASTM specify total aromatic content to be around 20%-45%.
I just decided that I am going to give up on manufacturing my own Ethyl and Methyl, as it is illegal to own or operate the nescessary equipment, and I may have had trouble manufacturing the equipment anyways. Also, obtaining the Benzine may have been trouble.
I find those "octane boosters" somewhat pointless, as they don't actually boost your octane by a significant amount (1 or 2 points is sort of useless).
Anyways, all of this is somewhat moot as I now own a stock Dodge Neon, and have absolutely no need to boost my octane past regular pump gas. Unfortunately I don't have a fax machine, but I would have been very interested to see the article.
