This kit is quite good, Id stay away from the Aoshima kits though, the one Ive got is based on a motorised version and has no suspension and very little chassis detail at all. Plus the body looks too square and a little out of scale.

Ive never heard of the hakosuka kit, got a link where I can have a look?

Don't mean to go off topic. But I have to address this:

Wide Load.....For 1 you thinking an GTS Corolla is an POS, that's you opinion. For2: I don't have the privilege of the GTS' 1.8 DOHC EFI 4cyl, positrac rear end, and close ratio 5spd. I drive an sr5 with a 1.6 SOHC 2bbl carb.

I'm not too sure what you mean about the Escort thing, because I've had the head on mine ported out, removed the cat, and I can easily beat del sols (stock ones) Keep in mind, the AE86 is not a drag car, it's a slidy-aroundy car.

I don't know where Brissy is, I'm in the US. I like the GTO Judge, mainly because that's what it was, The Judge. I'd truely love to have one, or any muscle car from that time period.

I don't know of any 'sick' cars around except mine. Meaning it needs a good tune-up, I'll admit, it's a slow 16second 1/4mile car, and it doesn't go past 130mph, but I love it, and to me, that's all that matters.

wow! i just bought this model today and have already gotten the chassis put together....I really like what you're doing with yours...Mine is just gonna be box stock but painted yellow and the watanabe rims painted silver i might use the fujimi rs-watanabe's because they look deeper than the rims that came with the kit..

Re: Progress: TA22 Celica 1600GT

the celica still looking fine...but i dont really like the molded in flares. i prefer old skool bolt on style...and by GTS i wasnt talking a corolla GTS...i know there a weapon...i was talking about the MONARO GTS..australian car using a detuned LS1 engine...they are a POS. and they are being exported to the US under the badge engineering 'pontiac GTO'. and i agree dude...the judge pontiac GTO was a beast...but there was a monaro GTO (im confussed, i hope you guys arent) over here that was orange and ran a 600kw blown LS1 in it...untill it crashed at the drags one night. sorry for being off topic again...im goin to my LHS tomorro and im gonna buy this kit...

bergerac54 - i think HLJ has the hakosuka kit. just search for KPGC10 skyline GTR

Re: Progress: TA22 Celica 1600GT

looks very good with the flares, kind of mustang-esque, but i prefer bolt on type. still looks very tough though
