Re: Ferrari 575 Super Italia (hypothetically...)
Wow. Good god sir. A great mix of classic details on a modern car.
I'm finding myself just staring at your pics here for extended periods of time. My wife thinks something is wrong but I've never seen anything like this before. Thanks for sharing! |

I really LOVE the way this model turned out.
REALLY! And now I want to make one just like what you've built and shown us. To do so, i'd like to learn just exactly what parts you've added to get the body wider .. and what else exactly it was that you added - where did you get the extra body parts from? And where did you get the neat half roll cage from? Where did the hood vents come from? Where or what the rear quarter vents come from? Why did you open the two driver's side fender vents, ... but only the one of them on the passenger side? Where did the rear lower body extensions come from? The rear diffuser .. ect. YES - I really do love the "look" of your model car! I can find the Fujimi 575M kit easily enough, and I can get the pegasus hoops w/ tires at my local hobby shop .... but I can't find the rest of the parts you used without knowing who makes them. Please help out with MORE INFO! ![]() Thanks, Keith

Re: Ferrari 575 Super Italia (hypothetically...)
Hi KTMkeith0, thanks for your interest. Sorry I have been really busy lately. I was gonna do a carbon tutorial but haven't had any time.
All the modifications on the body were scratch-built. I only widened the rear fender but left the front untouched. I made the vents on the hood, and also added some small details here and there. The rear quarter vents were also reconstructed on both sides. Two vents on driver side, and one vent and one fuel door on the passenger side. Roll cage was also scratch-built from styrene tubes. Racing buckets were resin replicate of FXX. I did make a "double-deck" diffuser just for fun , but didn't take a picture.![]() ![]() Good luck with conversion. PM me if you have questions. Best. |

Re: Ferrari 575 Super Italia (hypothetically...)
Nice paint finishes. Curious, what kind of paint do you use, and how do you go about painting your bodies? My shoddy paint jobs will be the death of me, and I'm trying to figure out what I can improve on.
