Poor attitude!
not really...

this question has to be in here at least 20 times...

it's all about preference.

do you want a car that handles, that's quick in the corners, or on the straights?

do you want to spend about 20k, and not do anything to it, or spend 10k and drop 10k in mods.

there's not a really good answer if you don't have the parameters.

4WD's also Understeer alot
not true.

simple tuning mods like strut bars and sway bars fix this.

most cars are designed to understeer from the factory to save the "stupid" driver who doesn't know when he's over his head.

simple, cheap mods can fix that.

and if you want to oversteer in an awd car, get more power.

also, a Bozzspeed tuning trick, run the same size rims front and rear, but wider tires out back... let's the back slide out a little

stock yes...

but you could get a 10k car, like a newer civic hatchback, 97ish...
drop a b16 in it and turbo it, and you're still at a lower price than the srt4, provided you price it right...

or a 240sx, with an sr20det conversion... you could get that setup for under 15 easy.

and both will outhandle the srt4.

and i'm a staunch defender of the neon, but if this guy's really got 20k sitting in his pocket to spend...

that's not ever really the case though...

so if you're going to finance up to 20k, you might as well get a new car like the neon... but if you've got the actual money, i recommend something older and modding it to your personal taste...

.

I'm starting to think it's the same person who always starts these threads. They post one subject and never say a damn word after it. Like they just sit back and watch as people begin to get into arguments.

I'm just getting sick of this crap. Kaoru watch the forums closely, I gurantee you this topic will again be posted at least a month from now.

Oh so true...I've said it a million times before. It's easy for people to say buy a car for $10k then you have $10k left for mods! That would insinuate that someone has $20k in their wallet right now. I don't think too many people here can say they have 200 C-Notes in their billfold. You have to take that in to account. Financing is a different story. Since I"m assuming he has to finance the $20k like most of us, I say go for something newer, get the most you can for your money.

I would also look into an RX7, you can do pretty well with the newer generation and still have some money left over for mods, that is of course if you actually have 20k like everyone else has said.

what's up hostile?

at least 2-3 people said "what are the parameters for the car"

and you don't reply with them?

you want opinions, but you leave it wide open?

it's like asking if someone likes a certain author.
the answer will most likely be yes, but for different reasons.

that's why you NARROW DOWN YOUR QUESTION.

see how that works?

so is it really 20k you've got? are you financing? do you want a straight line car? do you want one that handles? strong aftermarket? what kind of mods?

answer these and we'll help.

suckers, hahah thats why i never answer these questions. they're always too damn specific. see if its something about honda's or nissan, then i'm in, but 20K is just too damn broad for me to give an honest and good answer.

Exactly!

I am paying a mere $200 for my 90 GTC and it might cost me over $10,000 to get it where I want. I am going to have to take out a loan for some of this stuff. Like Self said, I don't even have the $200 in my wallet to pay for the car. I have sent the money out there to buy the car and now I wait. When I am done this car will be able to murder any stock vehicle on the road.

Does that make it better than an SRT-4 or any car for that matter? No, better for me, but everyone.

No 4WD's naturally understeer you can try to eliminate it but you'll always be forced to do an extremely aggresive turn in and total elimination is not possible its never gonna over steer. Simple tuning mods do not fix this

sorry, you're wrong.

you can tune anything out my friend.

active differentials can fix it, there's so much that can be done.

it's all about the parts the car uses.

you can tune it out.

if i can tune understeer out of an fwd car, you can tune it out of an awd car.
