Since we're on the topic of top speed. I would like to let you all know that i just got my accord, with intake and exhaust up to 190mph with a 50mph headwind, driving up hill, on a road covered in ice. Ohh and I about forgot the most import part, I was towing an 18 wheeler. It was a strugle at first to get the cemi moving, but once VTEC kicked in I was gone.

171 is pure bullshit, in all his mods he didnt mention one drive train mod besides the clutch. The gsx tops out at 139mph. So in order to get 171, you would need: 1. Regeared tranny 2. Stronger axles 3. Stronger flywheel 4. Stronger plated clutch And that is just presuming that you have about 450hp, which is funny why you have such a short list of mods, because with a car like your, I am sure you would list every single mod you have ever done any chance you get. So, untill we see your etc list, please shutup and go away troll.

dont forget that hes a GSX thats AWD. more power train loss. its goin to take alot more then 450 hp to get that car to go 171. 171 is like ferrari F360 terrory and almost as fast as a NSX type R *the new ones*

I figured it out... somebody was playing a bit too much GT3 one night...
except there are no Eclipses in GT3... but still "i upgraded the turbo!!! it goes 200mph!!!!"

I think he meant 171kph. 150kph is about 90mph, so maybe he meant kph. Let's see...that would be...110mph or so?

nah i think i'm goin to contribute to this thread by goin back to the original subject, and answer his question. yes a supra has high end. a supra will have more high end that a little DSM can ever dream off. can't compare those cars together. they just simply are not in the same class. in japan the top weapons of choice for wagan racing *highway* are the supras, rx-7's, nsx, and skyline gt-r. in japan they don't even have eclipses. ahahah. anyways, yeah any one of those cars can either break 200mph, or can come pretty damn close. but it would take a supra less work to break 200mph mostly becusae its more aerodynamic then a skyline. where it will take a skyline over 1000hp and a major rework in the gear ratios to break 200mph, a supra can do it with around 800hp becuase its alot more sleeker. and for the nsx. i'm pretty sure it can go that fast too, its just that i've never seen any nsx break the 700hp mark. so even though the body is more sleeker then the supras, it just lacks the grunt. the rx-7's i'm not too sure about. i'm pretty sure there are a few rx-7's with the Cosmo's 20B triple rotor swap that can break 200mph also.

i just read the link that flysi linked. i doubt any of those eclipse can go as fast as they claim. those speed are freakin near super car speed. there is no way in hell that a stock sport compact with either a tiny ass stock turbo, or even worse, a n/a can hit that kind of speed. i'll be even happy if my car can hit 135mph. and my car has a fair amount more power then a eclipse, better drivetrain, and is more sleeker in shape. these guys are making fast speeds seem less ridicious becuse in there everyone seems to be casually sayin they hit htat speed with their stock GS's and etc.
