1/43rds are pretty small, and they do accentuate scale problems - such as the metallic paint issue pointed out by RallyRaider.
As I said, these kits have very little detail - but for the money they aren't too bad, and take about a day to build. Longest time, and most expensive, is the exterior paint job. The wheel are actually two pieces (front and back) and all plastic - including the tyres.
I mainly started with these kits as my gf wanted to have a go at modelling, but did not want to ruin a more expensive Tamiya or Hasegawa 1/24th kit. I also have a collection of 1/43rd diecast rally cars, so this is a very cheap way to add some variety to my collection.
