Re: Porsche 964 "Polizei"

Thanks!

Hereīs a little update. Iīve finished the interior.

Iīve added some mesh to the speakers and flocking.

Iīm still not satisfied with the body, this will need some time.

Re: Porsche 964 "Polizei"

Iīm very sorry to say this project died today!
After repainting the whole body again and finishing it with 2 Pack Clear Coat it totally warped while drying at 50°C in the oven.
Tested this with a lot of crap before and it worked very fine without any damage. This time not, donīt know why.

Obviously this was the last car body i will ever let dry this way.

As iīm not a big fan of the 964 and havenīt any spare bodies laying around this WIP will end here.

Thanks for watching and comments!

Re: Porsche 964 "Polizei"

Hi Julian,

I'm very sad to hear that the project ended at that stage. I never put the bodies in the oven to dry. I paint on a modified coat hanger and just put the model in the dust-proof showcase for a couple of days. Smells really good once you open it

Please keep the interior and all the parts, somebody will have a spare body to help you out....

Don't let yourself down, not all modeling projects end in disaster!!!

Cheers from KA

Re: Porsche 964 "Polizei"

I finally pulled myself together, bought a new body and finished this thing!

Blue lights were made from 5mm LEDs, siren from scratch. Decals and license plates are self-made.

I will take some good photos and post them in the Finished-Gallery soon.
