Porsche 911 (964) "Polizei"

After some setbacks while painting and especially drying the body this is the third and finally successful try finishing this one.

Started as a simple Fujimi 911 kit. Iīve taken door panels for interior from an Italeri-kit, because they have a much better and more 3-D surface.
Blue lights are made from 5mm LEDīs, siren is made from scratch.
White decals were printed by a fellow modeler - Big thanks!
Body was painted with Tamiya paints (Pure white / Park green) by airbrush, followed by several clear coats (2 components lacquer)

WIP can be found here : http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=513613

Photos were taken inside without flash. Didnīt want to wait for sunlight...

Right now i realize, iīve taken the wipers for the RHD-version.

Anyways, please enjoy!

Very nice, Julian. It has come out very well and looks real enough in some of the photos to make me slow down!

Damn but the side mirrors are square and ugly suckers!

Re: Porsche 911 (964) "Polizei"

Hello Julian,

this particular model seems to be like a good red wine - the years let it ripe and develop the full potential. Very well done! The interior has been nice ever since you started the build - but the exterior sure improved with the (several?) overhauls. Perfect paint, nice details. Only the wrong mirrors take it down a little - but referring again to said red wine: it's just a little cork in the taste.

Congrats! Hope to see it next year in Frankfurt.

Thank you, glad you like it!

I agree, the mirrors are ugly. However, these are the mirrors the first 964 were delivered with. Apart from that, i need the nicer ones for 964 Turbo-Look Cabrio.
