That looks really sharp. Body looks simply stunning and very nicely detailed with the panel lines looking perfect and not over done. Nice!!

Yeah, Vric, nice job on those panel lines. How did you do them? With the Gunzemarker (or whatever it's called!) If so, I'll really need to get one...aswell as a steady hand!

Can't wait to see more on this thread. This car was one of my all time favourites in Gran Turismo 3!!

Nice work so far. I think that Tamiya have made a mistake with the masking parts for the white triangle on the front of the car. I don't think the triangle had a flat top, it should be a full triangle - like this:

Quite simple. I use a gundam marker, wait few second and use a cotton swab with Tamiya thinner to remove the exeded paint. Tamiya thinner don't affect the Tamiya TS paint but does remove the gundam paint. So it's very easy. That make clean, not too tick panel line.

Yes you are right. Someone on an other forum told me that. Very frustrating. Tamiya include the masking for it, but never use them in the instruction.. The Paint is done and polished, Panel line are made and details too, I won't restart all over only for those triangle. I have many reference picture, but I didn't looked the outside one (only look the engine and inside) It's a stupid error by me.

Why don't you try to use a white decal? usualy they work well over painted surfaces...even over black surfaces the look 100% opaque.

But this minor mistake doesn't affect the result!
The car is looking fantastc!

Bye
Magliano

I tried white decal yesterday evening, it's not 100% opaque and you see a difference. It look crap, I had to remove it.

Re: Le Mans Contest Entry: Toyota GT-One

Man... WHAT A NICE WORK. You have to tell me where do you get the reference pics for this car. Yesterday arrived to me a HLJ order, in wich where this car. I biught because Keiichi Tsuchiya drove it in Le Mans.
Keep up that awesome way. Sorry for my English, I'm Spanish. GREETINGS

Tamiya did this on purpose, they had to. It's because of the tobacco scheme of that car. If you look at the decals on the MP4/7 and 8 you'll see they rounded those decals as well.
