Nice job, blue is a bit to dark but it looks better this way indeed.

RTuned:
Don´t be discouraged by the decals running short on the back. In fact, this car ended the race (3rd) with a white rear deck, due to a "slight" offcourse excursion. So, you can play it on the safe side and leave the rear deck all white!

Enjoy the work.

Studio 27 decals? They often have the problem of being slightly undersized
Looks brilliant despite that problem, very intense decaling

I hear S27 decals lose a little during the shipping process...;-)>

This is a full-detail entry, right? ;-)>

Another great job. I don't envy you applying those stars...one!at!a!time! LOL

bvia... is a OOB model, no wiring is on. 'Star' not really hard to put on, need only 20mins. But the stripes are really few hours. As in between the red lines are the transparent decal, you don't want to leave it there as your white will no longer in white rather than yellowish white. So what I did is cut away all the transparent decals.

Here's more pict...Left the front lamp cover and some touch-up paint on signal and brake lights.

with the rear engine hood pop up:

It could be said finish, but... I think I will make it into a 'after 23hrs run' version. Final pict will be coming a few more days.

Great looking build. I really do like the work you have done with the decals. I hadn't though about entering the Le Mans contest before, but I think you may have just inspired me..... Excellent.

Here's the Complete picts on my LM contest entry.
It's my first attemp on whethering on car and also lack of reference I thought it will look like Toyota TS020, but my friend told me Porsche ran with plated disc rather than carbon disc, so it will not that extreme dirty looking. so I redo it and look like these...

Here are 1 closed up shot i take

I myself can't believe it that I actually used a complete 5hrs just to do the whethering job...too long!
Enjoy.

Re: Le Mans Contest Entry: Porsche 956 'Spirit of America' 1986

Very good. Effective weathering too, not sure if it is protypically correct for a 956 but still looks the part. 5 hours is not too long to spend on weathering at all. It took the real car 23 hours to get that dirty!

Great build in such a short period of time.
The weathering effect looks great. It’s a very beautiful model.

Re: Le Mans Contest Entry: Porsche 956 'Spirit of America' 1986

I agree. The weathering is top notch; accurate or not. I'd hate to mess up a beautiful paint job in the first place, but man you changed my mind.
