I live in Hesperia, which is like... right next to Victorville, and about 45 minutes from LACR, and an hour and 15 minutes from Willow Springs. Not sure when I'm gonna go to LACR next... I was hoping to get the car dyno'd sometime soon so I can quit telling people "Well... it should be like 330 - 350 hp" 'cause nobody believes me without the hard proof.
LACR does seem somewhat bumpy. I've talked to the owner of LACR and he's just an a$$hole.Always wearing his LACR jacket and doesn't really like talking to people who love going to his track.

Actaully, the last few weeks at the track have been better for everyone out here, including the turbo cars. It's been a cool 65 degrees alot of these last nights so they've been getting in some good runs.I live just 10 mins from the track, so i go very often.

Hey, nice mustang. I'm not usually a fan, but that's pretty nice looking, the 302 should give you a lot better performance. Good weight to power ratio with that size engine.

The 302 is a good call! It'll be a great motor for the track and for the street...lots of power, but not as fuel thirsty as some of the bigger engines (350+).

Look forward to some great street encounters!

Thanks, the front has disc brakes and I plan on rear sometime soon. Also planning on EFI and coil-over suspension front and rear. When I'm done the only thing left from the 60's is gonna be the shell.

Also had some old dude comment when he thought I couldn't hear "Who the hell would put some moomoo (yes, moo moo) seats in an old mustang?". Oh well... I like modern stuff and don't feel like falling out of my seat in a corner.
