I too think they are a bit overrated, but I think they look pretty good. Not as good as the 240 or 300ZX but still not bad.

Re: 240SX (built your way) -vs- Skyline (built your way)

have you seen a skyline in profile with a 300zx?
they're not that much different...
i've got a pic, from about 60 feet away, of an r33 in front of a 300zx, it's not that far off.

but that's got nothing to do with this comparo...

3kgt8, there's at least 75 in the US. overrated?
rightly so.
they're pretty insane when done right...

when i was hanging out with kyle (nocab72 from www.ohionissans.com) and his r33, he smoked a 240sx w/sr20 swap.
and the r33 was stock.
the 240 runs low 13's now, and the r33 walked him like a dog.
stock.

this is kyle's car...

stock everything but nismo 18's.
stock exhaust, intake, turbos, etc.
and it smoked this 240:

the 240 isn't stock...

nacho nissan i sent you the paper. also on the skyline being overated. yes i believe that is true. but does that make it a bad car? not one bit. it is still a fantastic overall car with tons of potential and great looks IMO. i would rather have a mean as hell looking car that looks like it would rip you a new one rather then a sleek smooth car like my S14. but they do have their limits and there are plenty of other cars that can take them out in stock form. but when you talk skylines you don't talk stock performance ( even though they are very good stock )

Re: 240SX (built your way) -vs- Skyline (built your way)

keep in mind that they are overrated in the idea that people think they're god's gift to cars.

i've definitely been one to humanize the car and make people realize that it's not the "be all, end all" for cars...
but it does have phenomenal potentional, as does an sr'd 240.

so in this case right here, they're tied.

neither... I pic a Lotus elise. rebuild the engine and turbocharge it. I think 350hp should do it.. stiff suspention, wide sticky tires, better brakes.
but if I must pic either a 240sx or a skyline.. duh I would pic the skyline... Specialy since if a skyline is to be compared to any other car it has to be a Skyline GTR V-specII.(just a random observation...)
then again, I hear performance parts for skylines are rediculously expencive... *shrugs

id love to have an r32GTR.. but id be paranoid someone would steel it or **** it up.

I agree, and have been saying that in most of my posts here yet some Skyline worshippers tend to get furious over that kind of talk though. PS the 240 and Skyline do look a lot alike, that's one of the better looking Skylines that I've seen. I actually like the look of the Skyline I just think the 300ZX looks a little better.

well if its in your comp, it will not work. you have to take it from somewhere online and link it to the sig.
