Re: Has anyone ever ran out of gas?
The fuel filter is located on the underside of the car, in front of the left rear tire (driver's side for those directionally-challenged :-)

Re: Has anyone ever ran out of gas?
I dont know but I need to replace mine, I'll just follow the lines from the gas tank and find it that way.

Re: Has anyone ever ran out of gas?
I've also noticed that if I have anything less than 1/3 of a tank or so and shut the car off, it'll be somewhere around 1/4 tank lower once I start it back up. It's quite the thrill going from a quarter tank down to E when I get back in.

Re: Has anyone ever ran out of gas?
We learned the hard way about the Aurora's fuel guage. On our's, empty is really when it shows 1/8 of a tank left. We have run out of gas 3 times so far, with no repairs on the fuel pump yet.
We've learned to watch the electronic fuel usage, and when it says we've used 16 gallons, we start looking for a gas station, because at 17 gallons, it is empty. |

you don't want to burn out your fuel pump, so keep at least 1/4 tank or more!
