Anywhere from 10 minutes (Gundam snap kits) to 3 years (Fully lighted Star Trek Voyager). Usually about 2 months on average, BUT I only paint my car bodies outside, because of the ventilation, overspray, and lack of dust, and up here it's so cold all teh time I only have 3 or 4 months to get them all painted.

Cool

Usually about a month during the winter, always start by painting the body then getting stuck into the rest whilst its drying.
Takes considerably longer to complete a kit in the summer beacause there are other things to do like sitting out drinking beer !!!
Later, Mike.

Because I'm in college, I don't have much time to work on my models..I've only done 3, currently working on the 4th, but the 1st took about a month, the 2nd 5 weeks, the 3rd about 6 months and this 4th one has been on my workbench for last 3 months.....So I guess the 3+ months is the right choice for me...

Re: How long does it take you to finish a model?

anywhere from 3 days (300CE Benz slammer) to a couple of months (R31 GTS turbo, Z1000 Kawasaki).
I think my rods are going to take ages though..

Re: How long does it take you to finish a model?

Depends on the stamina and the interest of the project... From 2 weeks to 3 years and counting. When the project is too important and I have a big interest in it, it's longer because I'm a perfectionnist and I want everything to be perfect so the models is just collecting dust while I convince myself that it's not that bad. When I have little interest.. it's pretty quick... 2 weeks and it's done... like my 350Z... depends on the model too, the 350Z is a pretty easy model.

I agreethere as well!! I don't follow a timetable unless it's for a contest; I just go with how I'm feeling at the moment.
