Don't get me wrong. If you're car is going to be track only, and you have the money for frequent rebuilds; Turbo all the way! Go ahead and boost 28 or 30psi. But if it's your daily driver...consider a supercharger or Nitros if you really want to be force induced.

Either way, it's ultimately your call. A lot of people find turbochargers very rewarding depsite the higher maintains requirements. I'll be the first to admit; the sound of a blow-off valve...I get off on it. Something about it gets me ready to drive to the death.

Do your homework, and findout for yourself what you can and what you don't want to do with your car. Good luck on all your decisions.

HAHAHAHA smoke a pack while running two miles sorry that was a gag. Other than that, you need to do some homework. Cirruclulate exhust gas back into your engine? That is an EGR valve not a turbo. A turbo uses exhsust pressure and exhaust heat to spin a turbine which spins an impeller that compresses fresh air. Think about it, exhaust gas is equivlant to carbon dioxide for a human. Would you pump co2 back into your lungs to run harder. Nope you fill your lungs with O2. So why would you put exhaust gas back into your engine to gain power? An EGR valve only opens when you are decelerating to recirculate EXTREMELY rich exhaust gases back into your engine to reburn unburned fuel to help emmisions. A turbo engine is as realiable as the person tuning it. I know it's not a honda but I run 24PSI on pumpgas all the time. I keep my fuel and spark in tune all the time and I monitor everything. (Turbolink version 4.0 is the shit)

Im not trying to be a smart ass or flame you at all. Just wanted to help a bit. We all make mistakes and misundersand all sorts of stuff. Just takes someone elese to tell you how it is. Turst me I still get corrected all the time by the people that taught/still teaching me


Oh and since boosted 331 mentiond diesels. I am going to school to be a caterpillar service tech. We had a 3116 inline six turbocharged diesel that is rated at 200 HP. We had a little contest to see who could get the most HP out of it. I had the fuel cranked up and the boost hovering at about 56 PSI . Good thing we don't care if the enigne last awhile.
