when they're talking about specific output being much like the h22a, they are talking about horsepower and torque per liter of displacement. its so "impressive" because it makes roughly 128hp with a 1.5L displacement. displacement is torque. 1.6L has more torque than 1.5L becuase it is so.

Re: SOHC vtec or DOHC ZC

I have a ZC in my hatch, and I'm working on getting my crx to run with the z6 that I just put in it. I decided to go that way with this one due to exactly what siz said. You don't have to hodge-podge your motor together, with a timing belt from one car, dist from another, etc. just get a z6

I was just faced with the same predicament and ended up ordering a ZC longblock ($725 shipped, kinda high but owell) and an SI tranny ($150 shipped). The reason I chose the ZC over the D16Z6 / Y8 is I have a DX and would have to get a distributor and intake manifold and all that fun stuff from an 88-91 SI, or go OBD1 with the proper ecu (P28 IIRC). With the ZC all I need to do is add some wires, a resistor box, and a PG7 ecu (89 Integra). People complain about no aftermarket upgrades, sure there are less then the ZC but if you look hard enough you can probly find it, and also, thats what homemade turbo setups are for (d16turbo.com). My engine and tranny should be arriving at the end of this week. I hope to have it running by Monday.

Re: SOHC vtec or DOHC ZC

I went with the cx or vx belts, exept for the timing use z6 and for the alternator and starter I say cx or vx.
