Not being smart/flaming/etc, but whose shoulders do we stand on? I've never heard that expression before.

No malice on this board. AF is a place of peace and understanding. Special Blend and I are having a gentlemanly exchange of words and ideas. Isn't that right special?

Its all good in the neighborhood. Its hard to be too mad at a guy when you'll probably never see him in life.

Understandable with the friendly banter if it's understood.

The figure of speech is analogous to "getting a better view" at something but relying on someone elses shoulders. Their knowledge handed down to you and so the handing down continues. You receive from others that have received from others who may have been the ones that originally made the discovery.

My comment was suggestive in nature. It was only to not frustrate a new comer. Joking or ribbing works better with those you're familiar with. Okay, I'm getting down from the pulpit. I wasn't suppose to be up here without permission.

You should've passed the collection plate first.

Does anyone know the answer to my question? I don't feel like internet searching. I want the answer handed to me on a silver platter.

What series engine (D or ZC) did the 3geez have and what was the output? Anybody??? I'm curious?

*serves the silver platter*

I have an '88 Accord LX 5-speed. I believe the power output is 120hp. Mine is an A20A1 carbeurated engine. The JDM models were a lot different though. I believe they came with a B20A or B18A. Here's a couple links on them:

So what can you do if you have money?

I am getting my Accord Type R on Wednesday and I am looking for some pointers..

I have had 4 Audi TTs before now, I I know all there is to know about modding a turbo engine in that car.. but the Honda is a completely new beast to me..

.. please point me in the right direction

The US spec 3g's came with an A series as mentioned above, most of the JDM cars came with the same engine, either injected or crabed (Twin or single) but there were some rare B20a powered models that were pushing 150hp, sort of an early version of the Euro R/SiR/Type R model that showed up with the 5th gen accord. Bascily they lighten the accord chassis and stick the fastest current generation prelude engine they can find in.

But the only way to make a carb'd 3g accord faster is to either drive it off a clif, or sell it and buy a faster car.
