Re: Ferrari 575 Super Italia (hypothetically...)
your models are impressive.
I look very often at the little pics in your signature and everytime I am surprised from the impressive work u need to make such unique cars. Many are fantasy ones, but the level of the (scratch)build and the beauty of the finishing is too nice really. I have many original models of the ones u tuned. It is absolutely not easy at all convert so well and clean as u did. really bravissimo Helico.Congratulations.

Re: Ferrari 575 Super Italia (hypothetically...)
I am delighted that you guys like the color scheme. I have to say again that I did NOT come up with the idea of using tights to recreate carbon fiber finish. I shouldn't take credit for this ingenius idea.
Having said that, I will be happy to post a tutorial in my next project which is about to finish soon. I used the same technique but slightly better. @Sascha: Here is how I painted the rims gold. I airbrushed Tamiya clear yellow over the chrome rims and aluminum sleeves to achieve a bright golden color. I wanted something a little darker. So I airbrushed a mix of clear yellow and smoke to further darken the color to nearly bronze. |

I also love seeing suspension components, like a rear sway bar on a car your driving behind. Thanks for sharing this excellent model!!
