Re: Porsche 911 Carrera (996)
hmm... i think it could've done with some texture (flocking or otherwise) on the parcel shelf and transmission tunnel/bump to lift the single colour somewhat but it's no biggie once it's all put together.

Re: Porsche 911 Carrera (996)
I think the sheen is about right and the shade isn't bad either. A lighter than exact shade works to advantage in closed cars, at least in model cars.
If you don't like it offer suggestions to improve it. You have to remember that color choices for flocking is limited and i know that at least i have quite a bit of trouble finding good color matches for factory interior colors as well.

Re: Porsche 911 Carrera (996)
looks great i think.
i see what drunken monkey is talking about. its the hump between the backseats. yours has no flocking and the one in the pic does. either way, it looks fantastic. keep up the great work. |

Re: Porsche 911 Carrera (996)
Hello! They are PPG automotive paints that are separated in small bottles by some friends here in Brazil. They are really good!

Re: Porsche 911 Carrera (996)
The aluminum valves were bought from a guy that makes aluminum parts here in Brazil, but HobbyDesign or other brand has it too.
Now the body painted!

Re: Porsche 911 Carrera (996)
thanks for your answer
i have used PPG paint and it is very good, i like more than Dupont, the problem here in Mexico is to find someone who sells a small amount of paint, and as i can see, your paint is also ready for airbrush cheers |
