come on...

somebody go here and take a look at the 1320 on this girl's car

I have an 00 Ex too, but I have never taken it to the track; is this what I would get?

its stock, all i have is an injen SRI thrown into it, and some wheels; but I'd like to at least think I could get the thing goin faster than 78mph in the quarter-mile...the car feels heavy, but not THAT heavy.

if I pulled a 17.5 with the CAI, DC header & cat-back system, what woudl I get without them?

I don't expect to get 11 second runs from my car, but I would expect to be able to get into the mid-low 16s (not to say that I expect 16 second times from the stock engine, I mean after I get the parts I want on it, which would probably be just a few bolt-ons)

am I expecting too much, is that time acceptable and I'm just too stupid to know better?

sorry if this has been 'done to death'

the ex should pull 16.8-.5 with a good driver and on top of that those mods will bring down the 1/4 mile time. its just up to how the driver drives. if you suck at launching and shifting then you'll get a sucky time and if you are a good driver you'll get a good time. just go to parking lot and practice your launches and learn how to shift quicker.

thanks for the info; after thinking about it i guessed she coulda just had a bad run, or be a slow shifter...who knows. that time just made me feel really bad about my car...I can't imagine spending as much $$ as she did for those DC parts and still getting a time in the 17s@78mph.
thanks

Don't the EX models run 18's in the 1/4 in stock trim?

Between 2700 and 3000 is a good range for feathering the clutch out. You won't have enough power for slicks, so dropping the clutch would just be for show and slow you down to an even more embarrasing 1/4 mi time.
