Question Gear Ratio's

I just looked at the CALMINI ROCKCRAWLER Gears at www.xterraparts.com under the Offroad 4x4, at the bottom of the page. I love my Xterra, and trying to learn everything about it cars in general so I can do things to mine. When I saw this item & saw 94% Gear reduction, I wanted to know how this could affect my car. At the price, it will be the last thing I will probably do on my Xterra. Can someone please tell what that means to a newbie like me
Thanx
Simon

The 3.92:1 low range transfer case gears effectively nearly double the torque/power and halve the speed to the wheels in 4WD-LO for climbing and descending steep grades and allow you go climb over obstacles slowly and gracefully. They are really a benefit to manual transmission owners who are much better able to manipulate the clutch than they were before, but automatic transmission owners will see benefits as well.

What would this gear change do in higher gears? Would there be any change in the Xterra while driving in the city and on highways?
Thanx

It only changes the ratios of your "Lo" gears, so normal "Hi" gear selection is unchanged.
