gear ratio's

hey guys i need a little help here
i have a 72 tooth drive gear and a 27 tooth engine spur on my electric hpi sprint i was wanting to know if i go more teeth on my engine spur will that increase top end and decrease acceleration?? and also will it loose torque

i need help because i want to tune my gearing to real good top end around 80 - 90 kph so i think thats 55 mph i would like 100 kph or 60mph but i need to find out wat the gearing should be also i am running a pulse r 10 x 2 reedy motor
please help me

Your gear ratio strongly depends on what kind of motor you have, along with any other gear boxes in teh vehicle. Which brings me to the questions, what motor do you have in oyur car, and also is there a gear box that the spur gearconnects to, or is it direct drive (like found in a pan or oval car).
