why don't you have the subs wired in a parallel running at 2 ohms? If both of your subs are 4 ohm subs, it will drop it down, then you should be closer to full potential of your system.

and 91ef, yes that is a wire, but why would you not need it? I thought in a series that is how you wired them up.

You don't need a wire connecting the + and - of each sub....they are connected together inside the sub itself

Just thinkin here, if I take the plug out and connect the wires directly to the prongs on the amp, would this work? cuz i'm thinkin i might not have a good connection with the plug and the amp

Bad amps

I can't wire them down to 2 ohms only 1,4, or 8. The amp is parrel inside but it likes like a two channel amp, but only monoblock. I wish i could take it down to one ohm, cause i had directed electronis mod it for me so that it would go down to one ohm. But i was advised that the amp has 60% chance of blowing if i burp it at one ohm without 14 or more volts so i am stuck at 151 with only 1000 watts. Sounds good to me.
