Question Stereo Help

Alright Guys, my amp arrived tonight and i started wiring it up but it got late so I stopped, also i'm stumped on where to hook the negative cable too. i tried a tail light bolt but it didnt work, i dunno if its cuz i havent wired up my remote wire yet or not, but i wanna know where u all wired ur negative (ground) from the amp to on the body, if u have a hatch it would be ALOT of help, thanx guys
also, will it run without the remote wire? cuz not even my front speakers work when i tried installing this

i had it on my tail light nut for awhile, now i have it to where the rear seat bolts down.

It wont turn on until that remote wire is connected and it is told to turn on.

i just drilled a hole in the spare tire well and put a bolt through it and wired my ground there. Wasn't in any particular spot, just made sure it was touching metal.

And the amp won't turn on until the remote wire is hooked up. If you wanted to just test it out, you could take a small piece of wire bridge it over from your power wire, just don't leave it like that because the amp will stay on 24/7.

I used a seat belt bolt, under the back seat. make sure you scrape the paint away from where you ground to.

OK frist off I would never use a factory hole for a ground......scrape off the paint of another spot and drill a new hole...but make sure that there is nothing underneath where you are drilling..

and the remote wire is an absolute nessary wire for the amp to function...it just looks like a regular wire....you should have a wire commin of the back of you deck that connects to it...

if you use a current bolt make sure you scratche the paint off to make a nice ground. most people forget about this and can cause problems.

if you keep 2 boxes in your trunk like that it will sound like shit.

as for the remote wire, its usually like a 22-24 guage wire, blue, running from your deck to the amp.

for a ground spot, make sure the spot you choose is no more than a foot away from the amp, you can start to get alternator whine from distances above this. my ground i drilled a new hole and tapped it to hold a bolt and my 4 guage to. its about 5inches from my amp.

here is a shot of my install onto that lock cubby behind the front seats.

yea i know, the boxes arent stayin like that for safety reasons and to see behind the car, ("really officer i cant see out my back window and didnt know u were there") lol
but yea, the amps messed, the remote wire didnt work, i tried a wire from the power 2 the remote location and no dice, didnt work,
so my buddy has 2 other lightning audios that r the same as this one that he's gonna bring by tommorow night for me to try out, hope it all works
