If it was my project, these would be my choices:

5th gen hatch with B18C5 (NO FUCKING TURBO. HONDAs ARE BRILLIANT NA CARS!!!!)

Nice clean (SUBTLE) bodykit with full respray in the light blue most Si's are. Fill all gaps with fine silver mesh. Tint all the windows black (who cares about legality - it's not a street car)

Full interior that does not make my retinas hurt - maybe S2000 seats with full black/grey leather retrim with red piping and stitching would look nice.

Full integrated ICE - DVD/TV, 6" splits, 2x18" subs (no rear seat ) 6 channel amp etc.

My plan would be to keep it clean, integrated and subtly classy. This means NO wings, NO carbon fibre hoods NO scoops, NO 45343543" chrome rims etc etc.

I like Oz's idea about the interior, maybe like a two tone gray with black trim pieces?

and yeah, stick to four door, but keep it all JDM and Mugen, whomp-butt ride that's clean, classy, and pleases the purists.

(I still like the idea of rear suicide doors )

what about a custom fitted center console, not a flattened one for just the DVD, but all the way to the stick (this is 5 speed right? please please please) a nice smooth molded decent, fit the DVD in, deck, and what ever else. I think a honda console solid down from the dash to stick would look shweet! throw in some 2" highs in there...oh yeah

how about a hood that opens from the top near the windshield not the headlights...im not sure of the actual name of this kind of hood sorry, what kind of suspension? bags? hydrolics? just droped?...paint.....get it like a color of a soda or beer bottle or something close to it then get a nitrous system and paint the bottle that color and put something on it that makes it look like a bottle of soda or beer or something

yah i say a rwd hatch would be phat! and definitely could be done with your budget. but i still dont like the 4 door idea. i mean there is a reason why you dont see as many 4 doors hooked up, THEYRE UGLY! and noone wants a 4 door sports car. save that for the people who know what theyre doing like bimmer and mercedes.

a RWD hatch would be phat. and if being original is what you want, tell me how many RWD honda hatches youve seen?

a 4 door would be original but does original mean better? or nicer? or what you want? not necessatily

I agree. I want to see a door conversion. And find a way to cram a K20A in there.

yo how do i close a poll and start a poll after i start a new thread? like civsiguys post so we can move on to stage 2...
FOR NOW I AM JUST EXTENDING THE CHOOSE GEN feel free to post ads here though for cars

that will be stage two post

Ok everyone, part 1 of the project was a success. We have chosen the 5th generation Civic (1992-1995) as our candidate.

Keep in mind that we have $30,000 total to build this car. So when posting your candidates for a car, keep price in mind. Ideally, I'd like to take a stock car for the sake of the project.

please post a pic, description, price, and distance from atlanta.

our location is Sacramento, CA.. zip 95823 hit www.autotrader.com and ebay and everywhere that you can and lets get goin' on part 2 !

We are not at the engine yet. See post above for the next step. For now this thread is closed and the buildup off the civic will continue in the other thread.
