What are the 22re differences between late and newer models
I am putting a 87 I believe 22re in my 92 pickup. I kept all the intake manifold and exhaust manifold but the wiring harness's were totally different and in return I have a sensor on the block next to the oil filter that I dont know what to plug into it.
Also noticed some of the port and such on the valve cover were different for my vacuum diagrams. Any help on what the differences are on the longblocks other then oil pans for the 2wd vs 4wd.

Re: What are the 22re differences between late and newer models
Somewhere around 91 or so they made changes to the throttle body and plenum, so vacuum and wiring changes probably occurred then.
A sensor near the oil filter could be oil pressure or the knock sensor. Knock sensor is a little above and left of filter IIRC.
