Difference between LS and GSR models (besides engine)?
Whats up guys. Im just wondering, besides the engines, are there any differences between the LS and GSR models? I know a few exterior things like sunroof and spoiler are on the GSR, but is there anything else different between the models like suspension or anything? Thanks in advance.

well the LS is the mid-package integra, lower than the GS and obviously the GS-R so I would assume there are some comforts inside that are options instead of standard like power windows etc. I don't really know the options list off the top of my head. I think another thing is color matched moulding was not on the LS, I believe they had the black kind. Also I think you could only get ABS on GS and GS-R models, at least on the older ones anyway.

Well on my 94 LS it has ABS, sunroof, and power windows. I think the only difference is that the GSR comes with leather, and the vtec engine. |

like I said options not standard. meaning it can have them but rather than checking all those little boxes to get those options you could just buy the GS and have them standard.

Ok, I thought it was the LS that came before the GSR but I guess its the GS. Why does everybody refer to the engine mods as LS ... (ie, LS Vtec, LS turbo). Thats what I was trying to figure out because i was just dabating on an LS turbo.

LS, RS, GS; all have the same engine. The LS is just a more popular model, so people refer to the b18b as the LS engine. Probably the same reason people refer to the '92-'95 Civics as the EG or the Integras as DC2 or DC5, etc...because it's just easier that way I guess (and they don't know any better
).

Yea thats the thing. I don't know why the LS is more popular when the GS is a model up from that. Seems like they would want the GS.

Re: Difference between LS and GSR models (besides engine)?
My special edition LS integra has everything a gsr has including leather sunroof power locks and windows ... EXCEPT the best thing of all...The GSR engine.. I heard the ls gs and rs have the same 1.8 engine and the gsr is the best with a 1.9 engine ( yes if you look at the specs its really a 1.9) but it only says 1.8... gsr-170hp ls,rs,gs-142hp your choice!!!

Re: Difference between LS and GSR models (besides engine)?
WTF? It's a 1.8L, technically it's a 1.797cc engine so it's not even a 1.8L. And the LS/RS/GS has more displacement with it's 1.834cc engine.

A LS special edition is the same as a GS. Also I believe if you read the specs its the GS/LS/RS 1.8 engine that has slightly more displacement due to its longer stroke, not the gs-r which has a slightly shorter stroke. GS/LS/RS = 3.19x3.5 bore and stroke GS-R= 3.19x 3.43 bore and stroke The gs-r having more HP has nothing to do with displacement. Its the fact that it has a shorter stroke so it can rev higher, has a head that supports air flow at higher rpms than the others, has a vtec head, Higher compression etc. the list could go on but i'll stop.

Is the suspension between the GSR and the LS/GS/RS cars the same? I know the GSR came with different tires/wheels.

Pretty sure the GS-R has a sport suspension setup, where the other ones don't (excluding the type r of course). But don't quote me on that...

The 92-93 gsr is a 1.7 not the 94-00
