Stick Shifter popping out of first gear
2006 Vue with the 2.2 motor and it is a standard. The clutch cables were replaced becasue they were binding. Now ever since the stick will pop/bang out of first gear. Could the cable been put in to short. It only happens in first gear.
It doesn't happen all the time but enough to realize it isn't operator error. It is my wife's car but it has happened to me and i have owned stick shofts for 9 years and have never had an issue like this. |

I know the technicians on these forums are excellent, and should be able to get you some great information. Dealership visits may not always be an option, which I understand, but if you would like to work with a dealer towards diagnosing this concern please let me know as I would like to be available to you!

Do you still have the old cables so you can match them up?
Did you properly adjust the cables when they were installed? |

30 day warranty? Any dealerI have ever delt with had a 12/12 warranty on repairs done at the dealer with OEM parts.

It was under a 30 day lemon law and since it was done under that, the warranty was for only the lemon law time period.. At least that is what the chevy dealer told me

Hmmmm...kinda sounds like a load of crap to me, they should stand behind their work. Guess not everyone feels that way though.
