5 speed popping out of gear

My wife's 92 Metro, 1.0, 5 spd, is popping out of 5th gear when tuddling down the road. Does anyone have a clue as to what this problem may be or how to fix it. We put a new clutch in the car last year and it was fine for a while but now has this problem. Popping out of 5th, when going down the interstate doing 70, causes the rpms to get into the red line, really fast.

your 5th gear synchronizer is trashed. You can have it rebuilt, or replaced. Once 5th goes, the whole trans goes downhill fast. Junkyard transmissions are cheap.
