Hi Everyone,
I have an '03 Caravan (short one) with a brake issue. I know my pads are wearing out. I took a look at them and they are almost to the wear indicator. The issue I have is that the driver's side rotor has a different wear pattern than the passenger side. There is about 1/4" of unworn metal on the inside and outside edge of the rotor. The passenger side is worn to almost the complete diameter of the rotor. (which I assume is normal) My last brake job was 2008 - I had the rotors and pads replaced. Since then, my issues are: 1. Unusual wear pattern on driver's side rotor (just noticed) 2. While driving in the rain, the rotors get wet causing a "slow stop". (ok, more like two seconds of panic when I push the brake pedal and nothing happens!) Any thoughts? |

Re: 2003 Caravan SLX Brakes
i dunno who did the last brake job
take pics of the comparison of the old pads vs the new pads on the driver side so we can "see" what the deal is... what was the brand of pads/ rotors? i'd like to know so i can possibly stay away from those brands that doesn't provide good stopping power when wet
