Volkswagen T2a School Bus

Gentlemen,

every year I build a T2 for the modeling show in Jabbeke, Belgium. The show is just around the corner, so I hurried to finish one of the projects that have been lurking at my desk for quite a while.

May I intruduce to you a fellow with a yellow face. His name is Bus. School Bus.

It's based on the Welly T2a. It has been painted yellow and various home-made decals have been applied. I wanted to give it a light custom look, so I lowered it and mounted some wide chrome steelies with low profile tires. The interior was painted medium grey and a washed slightly. A custom steering wheel has also been added. The window in the sliding door has been opened.

The STOP sign is made from a piece of Evergreen cut to size, a piece of wire and two decals. The receptacle on the sidewall of the bus is made from a triangular piece of styrene, with a hole drilled into it. All in all it took me ~10 minutes to build and mount the sign.

Now... can you guess where that town is?

Cheers,
Sebastian

Looks great, I love it

Unfortunately I won't come to Jabbeke this year, I won't see it in flesh

Very nice work Seb! As always. If any thing I may say is the headlights&taillights might need some treatment on the insert pins.

Re: Volkswagen T2a School Bus

Thanks Mike!!!!
I was wondering if it was a resin model... I didn't realize on the introduction by voyageur that it was based on Welly diecast model.
