Humming/Growling Noise on Front Right Wheel
I have a 1994 FWD with a humming noise in the right front wheel area. Noise is constant when above 5 MPH and is worst when turning right. Half axel was change shortly before this started and hub assembly replace but still makes noise. Any ideas

Re: Humming/Growling Noise on Front Right Wheel
Ive ran into that before. A lot of times the noise will sound like it coming from one side of the vehicle, but its actually the other side. Turning right would place more load on the drivers side wheel bearing. Jack up the drivers side and grab the tire at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock position and pull on the top of the tire while pushing on the bottom. then pull on the bottom while pushing on the top. Switch back and forth. if the bearing is bad enough, you'll feel some wiggle.

Re: Humming/Growling Noise on Front Right Wheel
Thanks for the info. Bothe bearings were replaced but still have the noise. When you sit in the passangers seat it is REAL LOUD. Even though the axles are pretty new I wonder if the CV joint has a problem.
