Front Right wheel noise
Hi, I was wondering if anyone here knows the causes of wheel squeaks because I'm having this problem with my 99 model VT commodore. I think everytime the wheel does a 360 degree spin cycle, it squeaks. Could it be my hubcap? It is kinda loose, but i doubt that.
All help appreciated, thank you. |

Re: Front Right wheel noise
Could be a hubcap, but most likely its brakes. Check your brake pads and rotors. Check your brake backing plates too, they might have taken a piece of debris and started rubbing.
Close inspection is the key here. Get right down close to it and let your ears and eyes tell you where its coming from. Last idea, but a distant thought; bearings. Most likely not since it would be a grinding noise, but if all else fails, check the bearings.

Thankyou heaps for the reply,
I'll try driving without the hub's and if the noise is still there, I'll check the brakes out. Just hoping it doesn't cost alot to repair. Again thanks heaps for your help! |
