GP totalled and insurance ???'s
A couple yrs ago someone hit the GP and the insurance totaled the GP. I bought the car back cause it was still driveable and pocketed the rest of the insurance money.
Can the car be 'totaled' again? My insurance is renewing and i thought why do i keep this coverage? so i removed car rental and what about COmp and COll? I use this as a daily driver and fixed the front bumper and fender so it looks pretty good and drives fine. Still get damn near 30mpg. Seems if the other insurance company totaled the car then progressive would have been notified but i been paying Comp/Coll this whole time. But if i can still keep Comp/Coll then i will cause then i can get money for it if im in another wreck.

Re: GP totalled and insurance ???'s
It depends on the state and the insurance company. Usually once a car is totaled the title is marked as salvage. Insurance companies will not usually pay for a rebuilt total although some will. I would check with your insurance company or agent to see what their policy is. As for Comprehensive coverage I would keep that and the rental car because if it is wrecked at least you can get some relief from the cost of a rental. Also wind damage and broken windshields are covered under comprehensive so it is worthwhile to hold on to that coverage whether or not you purchase collision.
